Hindi is the second most spoken language in the world. It is estimated that nearly half a billion people worldwide speak this wonderful language. As Hindi is considered to be the national and official language of India,we do give importance in teaching Hindi in our school.
For beginners we give more stress on Hindi Alphabet , their symbols ,word formation, picture identification and writing their names in Hindi. In lower classes teachers give more importance to mathras and letters to enhance easy reading .In higher classes more stress is given for communication in Hindi.Through daily activities, teachers provide learners with opportunities to develop each skill (listening ,speaking , reading and writing). Smart board classes are helpful for teaching Hindi especially their fluency in speaking can be improved as they get more chances to hear the words with their pronunciation.
Every year we conduct competitions like elocution, recitation and handwriting in Hindi to bring an awareness and interest in Hindi among the children. We celebrate Hindi Day in our school .On this day the entire programme is conducted in Hindi, such as prayer, pledge , news, speech, recitation, skit.
Hindi, the national and the Official Language of India acts as a connecting link among various states and thereby stands for a cultural adaptation among people and hence we at St.Patrick's Academy are keen to build interest and love in students towards the language.
